Include your account email when you write so we can find your account fast. We don't need anything else to start — no ticket number, no formal subject line.
Common questions
How do I cancel my Cohort+ subscription?
If you signed up on the web: go to Dashboard → Settings → Manage billing. Cancel takes about 30 seconds. You keep Cohort+ until the end of your current billing period.
If you signed up on iOS: Apple manages iOS subscriptions directly. Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Cohort on your iPhone. We can't cancel iOS subscriptions on your behalf — Apple requires you do it from your phone.
How do free trials work?
Both Cohort+ plans (monthly $9.99, annual $29.99 through Aug 31 then $39.99) include a 30-day free trial for first-time subscribers. You aren't charged during the trial. We email you 3 days before the trial ends so the first charge is never a surprise. Cancel anytime during the trial and you're not charged anything.
Can I get a refund?
Within the trial: nothing to refund — you weren't charged.
Web (Stripe): if you're unhappy after your first charge, email us within 14 days. We refund the most recent charge, no questions. After 14 days, refunds are discretionary; we still consider unusual situations.
iOS (Apple): Apple handles iOS refunds via reportaproblem.apple.com. They have their own policy and we can't override their decisions. If Apple denies a refund you think we should honor, email us — we may be able to issue a Cohort-side credit.
I forgot my password / can't sign in
We use magic-link sign-in — there's no password to forget. Go to the sign-in page, type your email, and check your inbox for the link. Links expire after 24 hours; if yours is older, request a new one.
If you don't see the email: check spam. The sender is eric@cohort.fit. If you used a different email when you signed up than the one you're typing now, you'll never get the link — email us and we'll help you find the right address.
How do I change my email or anonymous handle?
Email: currently requires emailing us so we can verify the new address. We're working on a self-serve flow.
Handle: you can change your handle from your settings page — one rename allowed, then it's locked.
The iOS app crashed / something looks broken
Sorry. Force-quit the app and reopen first — that fixes most one-off render issues. If it persists, email us with:
- iPhone model + iOS version (Settings → General → About)
- Cohort app version (bottom of Settings tab)
- What you were doing when it broke
- A screenshot if you have one
I reported a post / user — what happens next?
Reports go into a review queue an admin reads within 24 hours. We dismiss the report, warn the author, remove the content, or suspend the user depending on what we find. We don't tell you what we decided — partly because retaliation, partly because privacy. If you think we got it wrong, email us.
Your data
Export everything you've logged: go to Dashboard → Settings → Account and tap Export. You get a JSON file with every shot, weight, lab, journal entry, and configuration you've stored — annotated so each field is human-readable.
Delete your account: same page, Delete Account button. We anonymize your authored posts so the cohort feed doesn't lose context, then wipe everything else. Cannot be undone. (We do hold a 30-day soft-delete window for accidental deletes — email within 30 days and we can recover.)
On iOS the same actions live under Settings → Privacy & Data.
Privacy questions
See our full privacy policy for the data map. The short version: we don't sell your data, never have, never will; we don't share with pharma, insurance, or ad networks; everything we collect is in service of the app or its anonymous cohort statistics.
For specific privacy requests (GDPR, CCPA, right-to-be-forgotten), email privacy@cohort.fit and we'll respond within the legally required window (30 days for GDPR, 45 for CCPA).
Business / partnership inquiries
For press, partnerships, or business proposals, email eric@cohort.fit directly. We don't accept advertising, sponsorships, or pharma partnerships — but other partnerships (creator program, clinical research collaborations, content syndication) are open conversations.
Medical disclaimer (again)
Cohort is peer support, not medical advice. We don't diagnose, treat, or prescribe. If you're experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number. For non-emergency clinical questions, talk to your prescriber — they have the credentials and context to answer.
